Daryl Supernaw's statement upon winning the April 10th primary election:
a
"I have a lot of faith in the voters of the 4th District, and I believed they would support a truly independent candidate if only given the opportunity. Last Tuesday, they chose community advocacy and term limits over special interests and negative campaigning, and I would like to thank them for their votes.
a
I would also like to thank John Watkins for stepping forward to serve and for his perseverance throughout the campaign. Moving ahead, I plan on continuing my positive, issues-driven campaign until the June 5th runoff election.
a
Tuesday's election also illustrated one very important point. I received more votes than either of my opponents while spending a fraction of the money they spent on their campaigns. I believe this is the type of operational efficiency voters would like to see at city hall."
